Audience Feedback

The above picture shows what our audience feedback forms look like;

  • Whilst our class watched our film, we handed out these forms for them to fill out concerning the content of our film
  • I will now be debriefing on the responses in order to discover what we could improve on for our main task

Results

Question 1: Could you see all of the required techniques? (Shot reverse shot, Match on Action 180 degree rule)

  • To this, the majority of people said that they could see all of the techniques very clearly. However, some people mentioned that we had slightly broken the 180 Degree Rule by filming in two different rooms.

Question 2:  Did the extract show continuity?

  • Everybody said that the extract did show continuity, which is good as this suggests that it won't be a massive issue when it comes to filming our main task

Question 3: Do you recommend any improvements?

  •  Most people recommended that we use more non-diegetic sound in our extract to add effect and atmosphere. However, we purposely decided not to include this as we couldn't find a piece of music that would convey the messages we wanted ton portray
  • A few people recommended that we improve our camera-work, as in places it was a bit shaky. We agreed with this criticism will be more careful in our main task

Question 4: What did you like most about our extract?

  • Everybody we asked said that they liked our image composition and accurate continuity the best.
